The method for the attendant therapy in the complex treatment of breast cancer provides for the use of the antioxidant substances. The biological additives Bipolan and Carinat are used since the beginning of radio- and chemoradiotherapy for 30 days: Bipolan at a dose of 5 g thrice a day and Carinat û one tablet twice a day with the meals with the interval between the doses not exceeding 12 hours. Prior to the therapy and in the course of the chemoradiotherapy the activity of antioxidant enzymes, namely superoxide dismutase, catalase and glutathione peroxidase is measured. When the enzyme activities are within the ranges of 3.0-3.5, 2.0-2.5 and 5.0-5.1 units, respectively, and the content of vitamins A, C and E are 2.5-3.0, 35-45 and 15-22 mM/l, respectively, the biological additives are further taken at the same doses every other day.
