METHOD FOR ASSESSING MARGINS OF VIABLE INTESTINE

The method for assessing the margins of the viable intestine comprises viewing the intestinal walls followed by comparing the color and the edema in the injured and intact intestinal segments using biophotometry technique. The margins of the viable intestine are located by the difference of the optical power of the laser irradiation reflected by the intestinal walls.
