COLPOCYSTOPLASTY TECHNIQUE

The colpocystoplasty technique comprises mobilization of the segment of the hollow organ, which is then sewed as the additional plate with the edges of the dissected urinary bladder. In the case of microcyst, the isolated segment of the proper vagina is used as the plate. Upon extirpation of the uterus, the proximal part of the vagina is bluntly separated from the rectum up to the level of the proximal part of urethra and dissected at this level. Then the distal part is sewed up tightly. The mobilized proximal part is dissected longitudinally along the anterior surface and sewed with the edges of the dissected urinary bladder.
