The system has a detection and monitoring unit (24) to detect operation status of a computer system and deliver a detection value. A comparison unit (26) compares the value with an activation condition value provided by an adjustment unit (29). A pulse width modulation frequency switching regulation unit (27) regulates operation frequency of a circuit (2) of a converter (3) based on the comparison result. An independent claim is also included for a method to regulate an operation frequency of a circuit of a DC converter for providing a DC supply to a computer system.
