The plug has a magnetic envelope (2) with magnetically insulating longitudinal zones (14a, 14b), and a magnetic body (7) with a north pole (N) and a south pole (S). A driving unit drives in rotation the body between a locking position in which magnetic field lines between the poles circulate through an end of a pipe to be closed and an unlocking position in which the magnetic field lines circulate through the envelope.
