PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode ray tube provided with an electron gun including a heater capable of ensuring electron emitting characteristic by raising cathode temperataure on an indirectly heated cathode structure in response to reduction in an in-tube vacuum degree involving the rationalization of a cathode ray tube manufacturing process. SOLUTION: A heater heating part 251 of the heater 25 to be built in the indirectly heated cathode structure constituting an electron beam generation part of the electron gun used for the cathode ray tube is formed of a connected body of a first winding wire part 254 and a second winding wire part 255 differed in number of coil winding layers, and the connected body is twisted in a double spiral shape.
