PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform satisfactory MSK demodulation regardless of a phase variation. SOLUTION: When an internal reference wave and an input signal (wobble signal) are multiplied at the time of demodulating a prescribed modulated signal (MSK modulated signal), such adjustment is performed that the mutual phase state of the internal reference wave and the input signal converges to a state of no phase deviation. For this purpose, operations are performed in different mutual phase states, respectively, by a plurality of arithmetic means (first to third multiplier-integrators 31A, 31B, and 31C), and a system giving the most suitable mutual phase state is determined from operation results (38), and the phase of the internal reference wave is so adjusted that this mutual phase state is given to specific arithmetic means (39, 36, and 42). Especially in the most suitable phase determination, proper determination is performed by using operation results (integral results) in an STW modulation section and a monotone section (non-modulation section) of the input signal.
