PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device wherein a moving part of an actuator is not brought into contact with an optical disk due to bend of a support member caused by the weight of the moving part even when being placed in a horizontal attitude with the optical disk inserted and an optical head above it and reliability is not impaired even when being preserved as it is for a long time. SOLUTION: A lens holding member 23 is provided with a protection part 25 which faces an optical disk and projects more than an objective lens 20. Even when elastic support members 24a to 24d are bent toward the optical disk 1 due to gravity acting upon a moving part 16 without driving the moving part 16 by an actuator 11, the protection part 25 is not brought into contact with a cover layer 14.
