PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for an inspection of SCSI and SAS hardware validation. SOLUTION: This method of hardware validation in an information processing system includes a steps of scanning (120) an interconnection for hardware devices attached to an interconnection part in the information processing system, determining compatibility of each hardware device placed on the interconnection part (126, 128) based on a supported device information matrix and a location of the hardware device in the information processing system and displaying a validation notification to a user for possible compatibility issues based on the determination.
