PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic shock absorber for preventing turning-over of a vending machine capable of preventing reduction of oil level of working fluid in an inner tube and improving damping performance. SOLUTION: In this hydraulic shock absorber 20 for preventing turning-over of the vending machine 10 constituted by providing the inner tube 22 inside an outer tube 21, forming an oil storing chamber 23 between the outer tube 21 and the inner tube 22, and inserting a piston rod 25 passing through an oil seal 24 on one end side of the outer tube 21 into an oil chamber 27 of the inner tube 22 from a rod guide 26 provided on one end side of the inner tube 22, the rod guide 26 is provided with sealing members 61, 62 between the inner tube 22 and it and between the piston rod 25 and it, respectively, and an air exhaust passage 70 is provided in a scope where the piston rod 25 passes through the rod guide 26 at a stroke end.
