PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball bearing, capable of maintaining smooth rotation without having increase in torque even when a large number of separators are disposed in a raceway. SOLUTION: In this ball bearing, balls 3 and columnar separators 4 are alternately disposed in the circumferential direction in the raceway of a rolling element. Both end surfaces 4a of the separator 4 are tapered in mutually symmetric form to a center axis of the length of the separator in such a way that a plane of projection as seen in the axial center direction of the bearing is trapezoidal. In this constitution, even when balls are stuck in the bearing during rotation, the separator 4 is pressed on either one side toward an outer ring side raceway surface 1a or an inner ring side raceway surface 2a only, thereby they are prevented from becoming resistance to rotation between the inner and the outer rings.
