PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball valve enabling the inspection of the inside thereof and capable of assuring safe inspection operations. SOLUTION: This ball valve 1 comprises a valve box 2 having a flow passage containing a fluid inflow port 21a and a fluid outflow port 21b, a valve seat 3 formed at the outflow port 21b, a valve element 4 having a disk part 41 in contact with the valve seat 3, the disk part 41 having a centerline Y eccentric to a straightline S passing the center axis of the flow passage, a valve stem 5 rotating a valve element 4, an air cylinder 6 driving the valve stem 5, and an inspection window 20 formed at the outer periphery of the valve box 2.
