PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous adhesive composition having excellent polymerization stability and stability of the polymer and good water resistance. SOLUTION: The aqueous adhesive composition contains (A) an aqueous dispersion of a resin composition for adhesive obtained by polymerizing a radically polymerizable ethylenic unsaturated monomer in an aqueous medium containing an emulsifier, a polymerization initiator and water as essential components and (B) a block copolymer of (b-1) a polyalkylene oxide having n carbon atoms (n is an integer of≥1) in the repeating unit and (b2) a polyalkylene oxide having n+1 carbon atoms in the repeating unit, as essential components.
