PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system which is suitable for load distribution on a network when a user selectively communicates through a network with a person who has information which is useful for the user himself or herself from among a number of persons. SOLUTION: The user transmits his or her own profile information from an apparatus 1 to be used by the user himself or herself to an apparatus 2 to be used by another user, and the apparatus 2 which has received the profile information from the apparatus 1 calculates correlation between the profile information related with the user of the apparatus and the received profile information. Then, when transmitting the calculation result to the apparatus 1, the apparatus 1 selects the apparatus of the other party of communication whose correlation is high from the result of the correlation calculation, and notifies or receives use information through communication with the apparatus. Thus, it is not necessary to provide any large-scale network server, and it is possible to prevent any processing load on a specific node from being increased. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
