摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a durability of a material structuring an electrode catalyst layer of a PEFC and provide a means capable of stably generating power for a long period in the PEFC. <P>SOLUTION: The membrane electrode junction body includes a polyelectrolyte membrane, a pair of electrode catalyst layers pinching the polyelectrolyte membrane and a pair of gas diffusion layers arranged to pinch the polyelectrolyte membrane and the electrode catalyst layers on a surface facing the polyelectrolyte membrane of the electrode catalyst layers. The electrode catalyst layers include a conductive carbon, a catalyst active material supported by the conductive carbon and a proton conductive polymer, and at least one of the electrode catalyst layers includes at least a conductive carbon (A), a conductive carbon (B) with a larger value of a lattice spacing (d<SB>002</SB>) than the conductive carbon (A) and a conductive carbon (C) with a larger value of a lattice spacing (d<SB>002</SB>) than the conductive carbon (B). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
