<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording material with improved running stability, glossiness, water resistance and plasticizer resistance while it has such a slip properties that a conventional thermal recording material never possesses. <P>SOLUTION: The thermal recording material is provided with a thermal color developing layer for developing a color by heat on a substrate, and a protective layer on its upper face. The thermal recording material comprises a polyolefin wax with a number-average molecular weight (Mn) measured by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) in a range of 400-5,000, a melting point measured by a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) in a range of 65-130°C, and a density (D) measured by a density gradient tube method in a range of 850-980 kg/m<SP>3</SP>, and a relation between a crystallization temperature (Tc(°C) measured at a temperature descending speed of 2°C/min) measured by the differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and the density (D(kg/m<SP>3</SP>)) satisfying an equation (1); 0.501×D-366≥Tc. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
