<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a duplex printer which can do stably printing in a predetermined printing starting position at a high precision. <P>SOLUTION: This duplex printer comprises a paper-width measuring means for measuring the paper width of continuous paper for printing, a printing-starting-position control means for computing the printing starting position according to the result of measurement by the paper-width measuring means, and a storage means for storing a measured value of the width of the paper, which is set until just before the measurement of the width of the present paper. The printing-starting-position control means computes the printing starting position by comparing the measured value, measured by the paper width measuring means, with a measured value stored in the storage means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
