PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display which prevents sticking on a screen while reducing a feeling of incompatibility that a user has. SOLUTION: The plasma display 10 is equipped with a PDP 25, a luminance control part 28, a pixel voltage detection part 30 which detects voltages by pixels, and a timer part 26 which clocks a time; and the pixel voltage detection part 30 detects temporal voltage variation by the pixels and the luminance control part 28 lowers luminance of a pixel whose voltage is constant for a prescribed time and longer down to prescribed luminance stepwise with time, the prescribed time being determined according to a high/low state of the detected voltage of the pixel.
