<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for providing automatic detection of data anomalies in a data perspective. <P>SOLUTION: The utilization of curve fitting data techniques provides automatic detection of data anomalies in a "data tube" from the data perspective, and makes it possible to detect data anomalies such as on-screen, and drill down and drill across data anomalies in, for example, pivot tables and/or OLAP cubes.
