<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the costs of a non-contact data read/write device and also to attain the convenience of a user. <P>SOLUTION: A data read/write device 1 is provided with a light source part 13 of a spot light 4 with which the direction of an RFID tag 21 is irradiated and an operation button 14 for starting the driving of the read/write operation, and an RFID tag 21 side is provided with an external beacon 3o and an internal beacon 3i plotted on the surface of an object mounted with the RFID tag 21. The external beacon 3o and the internal beacon 3i are provided to show the position of the RFID tag 21, and their position relation with the RFID tag 21 is provided to show a proper irradiation region for securing read/write processing by a circular region. A user moves the read/write device 1 so that the spot light 4 of the read/write device 1 can be located in the proper irradiation region, and confirms this by visualization 5, and operates the operation button 14.
