<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conceal a message not requiring coping sequentially displayed when recovering an OS to prevent confusion of an operator or erroneous operation. <P>SOLUTION: This screen display control method in recovery wherein the OS has a function displaying various kinds of progress information in a prescribed area of a screen when recovering the OS into a system storage medium of a photograph-processing personal computer includes: a procedure for writing an image of the OS into the system storage medium; and a concealment procedure for displaying a progress screen in the prescribed area to conceal the progress information until starting of the written OS is completed.
