<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corrugated carton which is easy to carry, prevents the ingress of dust, water, and bugs, is low-cost, and has an inner storage space free from any restrictions. <P>SOLUTION: The corrugated carton 1 has a bottom face composed of inner flaps 4 extending from side faces 2 and outer flaps 5 extending from side faces 3. Each outer flap 5 has openings 6 along the sides 5a, 5b. The opening 6 has an oblong shape having a pair of long sides 6a, 6b parallel with the side 5a and curved short sides 6c, 6d connecting both ends of the long sides 6a, 6b. In carrying the corrugated carton 1, a carrier puts his or her palms to respective corner edges between the side faces 2 and the outer flaps 5, and puts fingertips on the openings 6. As a result, the fingertips are hooked on the long sides 6a of the openings 6 to prevent the fingers from slipping off, which allows the carrier to carry the corrugated carton 1 firmly and easily. Meanwhile, as the openings 5 are closed by the inner flaps 4, so that no dust, water, or bugs enter the corrugated carton 1 through the opening 5, and no one can see the inside of the corrugated carton 1 through the openings 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
