PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a "navigation system" capable of retrieving history information correlated with a position, without causing a complicated operation. SOLUTION: This navigation system is provided with a travel locus memory 32 and a retrieval history memory 44 recorded with a locus data as the history information correlated with the position and a facility retrieval data, a vehicle position detecting part 5, and a history retrieving part 46 for retrieving the presence of the history information included with the correlated position, within a prescribed range using a specified position as a reference when the position is specified by a vehicle position calculation part 20 or the like, and for conducting a prescribed notification when an affirmative result is obtained by the retrieval.
