PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding device capable of easily aligning tips of a bundle of paper sheets by correcting curl even in the case of curled paper sheets, and capable of preventing the generation of double-feeding and idle-feeding. SOLUTION: A curl restricting guide 2 having height to be lowered as it comes forward is provided over a paper feeding plate 21. A tip aligning member 1 having an abutment plate 17, on which tips of the bundle of paper sheets abut, in a tip of the paper feeding plate 21 is linked with a paper sheets restricting roller 20, and when the abutment plate 17 is arranged in a position, in which the bundle of paper sheets abuts on the abutment plate 17, the roller 20 is separated from the bundle of paper sheets and retreated upward. When the roller 20 is arranged in a position, in which the roller 20 is placed on the top surface of the bundle of paper sheets, the abutment plate 17 is retreated from the abutting position, and tips of the bundle of paper sheets are aligned in the condition wherein the bundle of paper sheets is placed on the paper feeding plate 21 even if the paper sheets are curled, and paper sheets are supplied by separating them.
