PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize high image quality of a recording image and high recording speed. SOLUTION: An outer protrusion H1501 and an inner protrusion H1502 facing the wall surface of a partition wall H1106 forming each ink channel H1201 are formed in each ink channel H1201 between the upstream side end on the electrothermal conversion element H1103 side and the downstream side rear end on the ink supply opening H1102 side for the ink introducing direction. In the ink channel H1201 on the central side in the arranging direction of nozzles, the outer protrusion H1501 and the inner protrusion H1502 are formed in symmetric shape on the opposite end side wall surfaces in the arranging direction of nozzles. In the ink channel H1201 on the opposite end sides in the arranging direction of nozzles, the outer protrusion H1501 and the inner protrusion H1502 are formed in asymmetric shape on one end side wall surface and the central side wall surface in the arranging direction of nozzles.
