PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform accurate working especially even in the case where especially a mark indicating the position of a print pattern is put at the interval of two or more print patterns in a web in which print patterns (punching patterns) of the same shape are repeatedly and continuously disposed along the longitudinal direction. SOLUTION: This punching device includes a working part (a rotary die cutter 1) having a punching die and a transport roller 2 for feeding a web W to the working part. In the punching device, a mark detection sensor 5 for detecting a mark of the web W fed by the transport roller 2 is provided to obtain the distance between the marks on the basis of detection output of the mark detection sensor 5 and the actual feed amount of the web W by the transport roller 2, and on the basis of the arithmetic result of the distance between the marks and the number of print patterns existing in one pitch of the marks, the transport roller 2 is driven to control the feed of the web, whereby punching is performed with each print pattern of the web W coinciding with the punching plate of the die cutter.
