PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a magnesium alloy sheet at a low cost from an ingot, a billet or a stretched material of a magnesium alloy. SOLUTION: In a series of stages for manufacturing the magnesium alloy sheet by rolling, this method has a stage where the ingot, the billet or the stretched material of the magnesium alloy is passed through in water which is controlled at the temperature of > 0 to < 100°C and, when the ingot, the billet or the stretched material is passed through in the water, an ultrasonic wave is impressed to the ingot, the billet or the stretched material, and successively, the ingot, the billet or the stretched material is heated to the temperature which is obtained by multiplying 0.35-0.8 to the melting point of the magnesium alloy which is expressed by absolute temperature while it is conveyed from the water to rolls and it is rolled with the rolls.
