PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus and an image output apparatus for executing processing in accordance with a security level.

SOLUTION: This apparatus includes: a step S11 of discriminating whether or not a print data read request is received from an operation panel or an external information processing apparatus; steps S12, S13 of receiving a user code and a password when the reception of the print data read request is discriminated (YES in S11); a step S14 of discriminating whether or not the read request comes from a creator of the print data; a step S15 of executing print processing without a limit when it is discriminated that the read request comes from the creator (YES in S14); and a step S16 of executing the print processing in accordance with the security level when it is discriminated that the request comes from a read request from a third party (NO in S14).
