<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood sampling system which has a minimal pain sensation, is simple to operate, has small and as slim an organization as possible, and is simple to assemble and cheap. <P>SOLUTION: The blood sampling system provides a lancet 3, a housing 6, a lancet guide 10, and a lancet power driver 12. In the lancet power driver, an end portion of a drive spring 22 on the side opposite to the drive rotor 24 is connected to a tension element 33 which can rotate and move. This tension element 33 can rotate to the same rotating direction R as the rotation of the drive rotor 24 in a propulsion stage deterring the rotation of the drive rotor 24 to strain the drive spring 22. And, the tension element 33 is locked so that it does not rotate reversely during the propulsion stage. As the result, the drive rotor 24 rotates after unlocking.
