<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging display device for allowing a user to confirm whether an image to be photographed is suitable for a stereoscopic view or not and easily identifying the area of the image which is appropriately or effectively appreciated as a stereoscopic image without performing another processing to determine whether the areas are stereoscopically viewed or not, and to provide an imaging display method. <P>SOLUTION: An image determining part 104 determines the area with a corresponding point and the area without a corresponding point, based on a set of image data which are picked up by two imaging parts 101, 102, and transmits information which indicates the determination result to an image generator 105 and an additional information generator 107. The image generator 105 generates the image data for displaying, based on the image data picked up by the two imaging parts 101, 102 and the information from the image determining part 104. Concerning the area not to be stereoscopically viewed, i.e., the area without having the corresponding point, a pixel value is determined by which the area without the corresponding point is visually clearly discriminated from the area with the corresponding point. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
