<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer with an image position correcting function capable of easily providing a printed matter on which printing is done in correct direction, by allowing a user to adjust skew electronically with no operation of internal mechanism of the printer required, even if the skew occurs in the printer. <P>SOLUTION: In a printer 10, an inputted print data are developed as image data in a memory 14, and the output which is acquired by scanning the image data in prescribed direction using a scan 15 is supplied to a print engine 17 for printing. A print position adjusting memory 18 stores "a deviation angle θ from correct position of the image printed on a form" which is inputted in advance. The output is obtained by scanning the image data developed in the memory 14 in the direction corresponding to the deviation angle θ using the scan part 15, and is supplied to the print engine 17 for printing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
