<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to find a desired image easily. <P>SOLUTION: A medical image displaying apparatus comprises a storing unit, a displaying unit, and an inputting unit. The storing unit is configured to store examination information on a plurality of examinations and image data obtained from a plurality of the examinations. The displaying unit is configured to display a plurality of selectable icons corresponding to a plurality of the examinations along one of the vertical or horizontal direction in a screen. The display unit is also configured to display one or more selectable thumbnail images along the other one of the vertical or horizontal direction. The display unit is still further configured to display an original image based on the image data to be bigger than each of the thumbnail images. The input unit is configured to select a first icon of the plurality of selectable icons and a first of the one or more selectable thumbnail images.
