PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disc type rotary electric machine in which the coil load can be reduced at the time of winding a stator coil around a stator teeth section and the cross-sectional area of the stator teeth section can be increased in the direction intersecting the axis perpendicularly. SOLUTION: In the disc type rotary electric machine comprising a rotor 2 arranged with a permanent magnet 9, and a stator 3 having a stator teeth section 11 and a stator coil 12 wherein the rotor 2 and the stator 3 are arranged in the axial direction and the rotor 2 is held rotatably through an air gap to the stator 3, circumferential surface of the stator teeth section 11 for winding the stator coil 12 is constituted of six faces (five faces or more).
