PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin coated wire coated by a polyphenylene sulfide resin composition having fluidity and tenacity suitable for wire coating use. SOLUTION: The polyphenylene sulfide resin consists of (a) 95 to 40 wt.% of polyphenylene sulfide resin and (b) 5 to 60 wt.% of olefin group resin, of which (a) the polyphenylene sulfide resin is (a) the polyphenylene sulfide resin with a chloroform extraction volume of 0.5 to 4 wt.%, and (b) the olefin system resin is (b-1) an olefin copolymer having an epoxy group or an ethylene-α-olefin system copolymer obtained by copolymerizing the above (b-1) and (b-2) ethylene and C3 to C20α-olefin.
