PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode material for a cold cathode discharge tube, extending an electrode life because of its high sputtering resistance, keeping an electrode cost low because of its inexpensive raw material, and having good workability. SOLUTION: This electrode material for the cold cathode discharge tube is formed of a Ni-Mo alloy containing 6-35% of Mo by mass% and having a composition of inevitable residual impurities and Ni.
