ELECTRODE CATALYST LAYER FOR POLYMER ELECTROLYTE FUEL CELL AND MEMBRANE ELECTRODE COMPOSITE FOR POLYMER ELECTROLYTE FUEL CELL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode catalyst layer and electrode catalyst for a polymer electrolyte fuel cell which holds its performance for a long period, and to provide the polymer electrolyte fuel cell using the same.

SOLUTION: The electrode catalyst layer for the polymer electrolyte fuel cell composed of a catalyst and a polymer does not substantially contain anionic groups in the electrode catalyst layer. Either of the electrode catalyst and a membrane electrode assembly for the polymer electrolyte fuel cell is composed of the electrode catalyst layer. The polymer electrolyte fuel cell using a liquid fuel is composed of the membrane electrode composite. Mobile devices and moving bodies have the polymer electrolyte fuel cell using the liquid fuel as the driving source.
