SERVICE PROVIDING PLATFORM SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a service providing platform system for providing services on a network that attains redundancy at a low cost.

SOLUTION: A platform apparatus includes: a means 1 that transmits a continuity confirmation packet to a service apparatus which the platform apparatus accommodates and a service network and receives a loopback packet or an acknowledgement packet from the service apparatus to confirm the continuity and the operation normality of the service apparatus which the platform apparatus accommodates and the service network; a means 2 that discriminates that the continuity or the operation of the service apparatus and the service network is not normal so as to forcibly interrupt a path between itself and a transfer apparatus when the means 2 cannot receive the loopback packet or the acknowledgement packet from the service apparatus even after a lapse of a prescribed time; a means 3 whereby the transfer apparatus recognizes forced interruption; and a means 4 that does not transfer a packet to the path forcibly interrupted but transfers a packet between another platform apparatus and the transfer apparatus.
