<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer optical waveguide module which does not need a complicated structure, but permits to easily monitor an optical output from a light emitting element and can be manufactured at a low cost, and to provide a polymer waveguide film used for the polymer waveguide module. <P>SOLUTION: The polymer optical waveguide module is provided with the polymer optical waveguide film comprising the light emitting element, a lower clad, a core, and an upper clad, comprising an optical path conversion mirror face at one end thereof, and also comprising a guided light leaking part on an under face of the core and/or an upper face of the lower clad, and is provided with a monitor use light receiving element for monitoring the light from the light emitting element; and the polymer optical waveguide module is the one wherein the light emitting element, the polymer optical waveguide film, and the monitor use light receiving element are in register so that the light from the light emitting element is guided in the core via an optical path conversion mirror and is partly received by the monitor use light receiving element via the optical guide leaking part; and the polymer optical waveguide film is used for the polymer optical waveguide module. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
