PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus displaying an image resulting from photographing an object to a liquid crystal display panel of a main body and directly projecting the image from the main body to an external screen or the like. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus is provided with: the liquid crystal display panel 6 for displaying the image of the object 1 imaged by a CCD 4 via a lens 2; an LCD 3 for projecting the image of the object 1 imaged by the CCD 4 via the lens 2 onto the external screen 1 via the lens 2; and a system control section 7 for controlling a display mode by the liquid crystal display panel 6 and a projection mode by the LCD 3 so as to be selectively switched.
