PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bio-optical measuring method for differentiating dimensions of regions of brain activities.
SOLUTION: Two rhomboid probes where a light emitting device or a photodetector is spatially alternately arranged are prepared. A second light irradiating device or a photodetector is disposed between a first light irradiating device and the photodetector. An image is reconstructed by using all of the sampling points, and whether the maximum position in the reconstructed image is adjacent to the sampling points of the first or second probe or not is determined. From the result, an image is reconstructed by using only position information on the sampling points of the first or the second probe. By doing this, the difference in dimensions of the regions of the brain activities is displayed as the images, and information acquired from a result of measuring concentration of metabolites in vivo by using the light is increased.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
|
