<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface mounting discharge tube which is capable of suppressing positional deviation at the time of soldering, and having sufficient PCT properties. <P>SOLUTION: The surface mounting discharge tube has a structure as a cylindrical ceramic envelope is sealed at the both ends with a surface of an electrode, respectively, and the tube is designed to be directly soldered onto a mounting board, wherein a respective electrode at the both ends is rectangular and extended outwardly from the peripheral edge of the cylindrical ceramic envelope, and has a taper or step differences for soldering at the peripheral edge on a side surface of an electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
