PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device which reduces variance in the light emitting spectrum depending on the angle to see the light extracting surface. SOLUTION: The display device comprises a first insulating film formed on a substrate, a second insulating film formed thereon, and a semiconductor layer formed thereon. Moreover, a gate insulating layer is formed over the second insulating layer and the semiconductor layer, a gate electrode is formed on the gate insulating film, and a first interlayer insulating layer is formed over the gate insulating layer and the gate electrode. An aperture is formed through the first interlayer insulating layer, gate insulating layer and second insulating layer. A second interlayer insulating layer is also formed over the first insulating layer and the aperture. Thus, the light emitting lement is formed on the aperture. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
