PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insertion device of a terminal with a wire capable of reducing generation of a broken part of the wire and insertion failure of the terminal with a wire as much as possible in inserting the terminal with a wire into a connector housing, and of improving quality, manufacturing efficiency and manufacturing yield of a connector. SOLUTION: This insertion device of a terminal with a wire is provided with: a terminal tentative insertion means 15 having a terminal grasping part 21 for grasping the terminal 1 with a wire and a terminal grasping part actuator 23 for operating the terminal grasping part 21 and used for tentatively inserting the terminal 1 with a wire into a terminal housing chamber 5 of the connector housing 4; and a terminal regular insertion means 17 having a terminal plunging member 25, a terminal plunging member raising/lowering mechanism 27 for lowering the terminal plunging member 25 to a position where a tip part thereof faces a step part 1b of the terminal 1 with a wire, and a terminal plunging member advancing/retreating mechanism 29 for advancing the terminal plunging member 25 on the connector housing 4 side in a form in contact with the step part 1b of the terminal 1 with a wire to plunge and regularly insert the terminal 1 with a wire into the terminal housing chamber 5.
