PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display device which suppresses sticking of a plasma display panel without giving incongruity to the user in variance of the image. SOLUTION: While a CPU 28a makes a target pixel move by processing of S305, S310, S335, it discriminates whether a moving amount is small or not from the excess, and the image is a light pixel or not from image data themselves in steps S320, S325 based on image data of a frame memory 23f, if it is a condition which is easy to stick, the CPU increases a variable DF one by one, time interval t1 is updated once in 5 minutes. At this time, the time interval t1 is set in a short interval when many pixels with less motion and bright image which are easy to stick, and set in a long interval when many pixels with a large moving amount and dark which are not easy to stick, therefore, while deleting complication to set time interval t1, the optimal time interval t1 corresponding to the easiness of the actual sticking can be set.
