PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an integrated television set having a function capable of reproducing images without interrupting them even if there are parts poor in recording states in a magnetic tape. SOLUTION: When a magnetic tape is reproduced by a VCR 2 and if there are parts poor in recording state in the magnetic tape, a user sometimes cannot see reproduced images if they are reproduced as they are. A system controller 13 compares an envelope signal level of a tracking error signal from the VCR 2 with a predetermined threshold. When the envelope signal level becomes less than a threshold, the system controller 13 switches a Y/C signal to a composite signal and inputs the composite signal to a signal processing circuit 8 of a television set 7. The signal processing circuit 8 generates an RGB signal on the basis of the inputted composite signal and outputs it. Consequently, the user can see the reproduced images even if a section poor in the recording state of the magnetic tape is reproduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
