PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of reducing trouble of separately operating a remote controller for controlling a first apparatus and a remote controller for controlling a video display apparatus. SOLUTION: A video display apparatus disclosed herein includes: a means (14) for receiving a first control signal outputted from a control means 40 of first apparatuses (50, 60); a means 18 for converting the received first control signal into a second control signal and outputting the second control signal; a means (19) for receiving a video signal outputted from the first apparatuses (50, 60) in response to the second control signal; and a means (15) for displaying the received video signal.
