PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic mail server apparatus capable of avoiding a load from being imposed on a terminal in processes at data transmission and reception and ensuring the security in communication. SOLUTION: The electronic mail server apparatus includes: an address extract section 22 for extracting a transmission destination address from received electronic mail; an encryption processing discrimination section 24, an encryption database 26, and an encryption processing section 28 for discriminating whether or not the electronic mail is an encryption processing object on the basis of the extracted transmission destination address, determining by which system the encryption processing is to be executed, applying encryption processing to the electronic mail by the determined system, and acting like communication data generating sections for generating communication data; and a transmission section 30 for transmitting the produced communication data.
