PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that quickly installs an operating system and an application upon a failure or the like by using a master image and differential information caused during operation. SOLUTION: A differential information management agent 14 acquires OS differential information 15 and AP differential information 16, and a differential information management agent 24 acquires OS differential information 25 and AP differential information 26. A differential information management manager 34 receives and saves each piece of differential information, compares the OS differential information 15 and the OS differential information 25 to separate them into common OS-common differential information 351, OS-specific differential information 352 specific to a computer 1 and OS-specific differential information 353 specific to a computer 2, and reflects the OS-common differential information 351 to an OS master image 35 to create an OS update image 37. When the computer 1 fails for some reason, the OS-specific differential information 352 is reflected to the OS update image 37 to create an OS image 39, which is distributed to the computer 1.
