摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abrasive layer structure for a lap wheel, which has adequate abrasive grain retaining force and can improve machining quality while ensuring stable cutting performance. SOLUTION: According to the abrasive layer structure, abrasive grain 11 composed of diamond or the like is bonded on surfaces of spherical bond particles 14 made of Cu, Ni, Fe, or an alloy containing the same. The bond particles 14 adjacent to each other are connected to each other via their contact points to form a pore 15 therebetween. The bond particles 14 are fixed to each other by a sintering aid 16 present in the pore 15. The sintering aid 16 comprises Sn, Ag, P, or a mixture thereof, and has a function of retaining connection between the bond particles 14, and the abrasive grain. Further a reactive layer 17 between each bond particle 14 and the sintering aid 16 is formed on the periphery of the bond particle 14. The sintering aid 16 extends in layers along the reactive layer 17, and the bond particles 16 are connected together by the sintering aid 16.
