PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment method which enables the efficient solid-liquid separation and recovery of drainage discharged from flocculation sedimentation treatment means, and its system. SOLUTION: In the water treatment method for loading raw water in the flocculation sedimentation treatment means 12 with a flocculant to carry out flocculation and sedimentation, and carrying out membrane separation of the treated water from the flocculation sedimentation treatment means 12 by first membrane separation means 14, deposit discharged from the flocculation sedimentation treatment means 12 is solid-liquid separated by solid-liquid separation means 16 and the separated drainage is membrane separated by second membrane separation means 18 having a larger membrane hole diameter than the first membrane separation means 14.
